What is the compact workshop about?

The compact workshop will explore the topic of “gestures” in contemporary dance in movement sequences. It is aimed at all those who would like to deal with the topic of “gestures in dance” in general.

Messengers of daily life deliver messages. What do these messages tell us? How can we absorb them with our bodies and pass them on in dance, translate and understand them in dance?
Do gestures have a meaning? The dance workshop invites you to transform signs and gesticulation into gestures, to set them in motion in a new and different way, to explore and use them creatively while dancing, to explore understanding and misunderstanding together. Experiencing how exchanges of gestures, gesticulation and signs connect each other and link into movements and dance.
