A light birch grove and a disused railway site offered us a beautiful place to work on a performance together for the first time. To explore ourselves as a group and to practice what Robert Krokowski and Marlen Wagner have been doing for many years in ever new constellations: own thing and common cause (link to the books). The idea was to explore an abandoned place, to lay a red trail there and follow it. We were also connected by some things we had brought with us: a chair, an old suitcase. In this suitcase we found: a black Bakelite telephone, type W48; headphones from the beginning of the last century; a microphone from the 1970s and a classic ship’s megaphone with integrated whistle – as well as the red trail. Robert Krokowski’s hanging of old cotton shirts with the letters of angels (Link on Letters of an angel) waves back and forth in the balmy wind. Ulrike Lynn’s staged reading of a Bible text echoed among the trees. Libertad Esmeralda Iocco’s dance performance combined track, objects and terrain into a moving whole. Marlen Wagner’s thoughts on “Lost Places” went on a journey along the tracks.
